Às vezes questiono por um segundo
Se a poesia pode mudar o mundo.
Na era de um elétrico pragmatismo,
Vi-me chocada, num rápido ceticismo.
A moda é o estético e o imagético,
Seja lá onde for, devo seguir este rumo
De cometa violeta. Eu sei lá quando sumo!
Além de um sentido interno de missão,
O universo constrói e visita a mansão.
Muito além de tudo o que altera e impacta,
A poesia permance mutante e intacta.

Sometimes I question for a second
If poetry can change the planet.
In the age of an electric pragmatism,
I find myself shocked, in a quick skepticism.
The fad is aesthetic and imagetic,
And poems are these on a skeletal level.
However, what is the real value of aesthetics
Even when it dares to be poetic?
Poetry has so many significances…
But in a time of deafness to nuance
And by global warming, if I am to condense,
Rhymes sound like total nonsense
But in my flesh lives a poet’s soul,
And an arrow doesn’t dare to betray its goal.
In as much as its solid, here’s some truth one can’t planish:
Just like a violet comet, who knows when I’ll vanish?
In addition to an internal sense of mission,
The universe builds and visits its mansion.
Far beyond anything that alters and impacts,
Poetry remains mutant and intact.
